Clinton won the boys’ junior varsity basketball game over Laurens in the Red Devils’ gym on Thursday night. Kaleb Richardson scored 16 points and Jalen Ruff 10 as Clinton took a 56-35 victory.

The Red Devils also won the girls’ game, 35-13.


The Hickory Tavern girls took a 26-24, come-from-behind victory over Clinton Middle, which once led 21-10. Faith Jackson scored 16 fourth-quarter points and finished with 22.

Clinton won the boys’ game 55-27 behind 13 points from Taliek Fuller. Mason Hamby led Hickory Tavern with 12.


Laurens Middle and Sanders split their games, with LMS winning the boys’ game 49-36, thanks in part to 28 points from Devon Redd and 10 from Jalen Ruff. De'Mar Massey and Gemier Darden each scored eight for Sanders.

Sanders claimed the girls’ game 28-9. Porsha Shumpert scored 16 points for the winners.


Tonight’s varsity games at LDHS will be broadcast via Clinton’s radio crew via WPCC-FM 96.5. with Buddy Bridges and Gene Simmons. WLBG broadcast the games in Clinton between the rivals last week.

The broadcast will begin a 7 p.m. and pick up the girls' game at that point.
