PC football

The Presbyterian College Football team signed 27 players as a part of National Signing Day on Wednesday.

The signees include 20 players from the state of South Carolina as well as players from Florida, Georgia and North Carolina that committed to the Blue Hose program.

Here’s a look at the 2019 Signing Class:

Julius Land

5-10; 200; LB

Columbia, S.C./Irmo HS

Was a region champion and two-time region runner up at Irmo HS… Two-time all-region Linebacker… named best linebacker at Irmo HS three straight seasons… participated in off the field activities such as reading to elementary school children… played high school football with fellow commitment Oka Emmanwori.

Brock Dalton

5-11; 210; LB

Camden, S.C./Camden HS

Three-year letter winner at Camden HS… he compiled 244 tackles during his High School career… was a member of the school’s Beta Club... participated in community service projects while at Camden… twin brother Blake also committed to PC on Wednesday.

Blake Dalton

5-11; 205; LB

Camden, S.C./Camden HS

Lettered in football at Camden HS… compiled 250 career tackles, an interception and five pass breakups throughout his time at Camden… also played baseball… participated in the Beta Club… he stayed involved throughout his time at Camden… twin brother Brock also committed to PC on Wednesday.

Chase Hagler

6-0; 265; OL

Indian Trail, N.C./Porter Ridge HS

Was an All-Conference lineman at Porter Ridge HS… was a state semifinalist during his career… totaled 70 pancake blocks in two seasons… was a part of the Interact Club.

Keegan Halloran

6-0; 183; QB

Fountain Inn, S.C./Woodruff HS

Halloran was an all-state recipient at Woodruff HS… 2x Herald football player of the week… 2x all-region honors… participated in North-South All Star game… four years all academic honoree… region three player of the year… had over 7,000 yards passing and 82 passing touchdown while also compiling 1,500 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns… was a National Honor Society inductee… also a part of the Beta Club… participated in Palmetto Fellows. 

Malik Busby

5-11; 243; DT

Chesnee, S.C./Chesnee HS

Played on both sides of the line at Chesnee HS… he recorded 45 sacks and 266 tackles during his career… also played basketball while at Chesnee… he recorded most charges in a single season and in school history… was a part of the Beta Club… also was a National Honor Society inductee.

Clenton Cochran

6-1; 215; DE

Charlotte, N.C./West Mecklenburg HS

During his senior year at West Mecklenburg he was part of program that won a conference championship and made it to third round of the playoffs for first time in school history… compiled 100 tackles, 11 sacks, 1 interception, 3 forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, and three pass deflections… he also played two seasons at Phillip O Berry before finishing his High School career at West Mecklenburg.

Jake Keyes

6-0; 315; OL

Hampton, S.C./Wade Hampton HS

Three-year letter winner at Wade Hampton HS as an offensive lineman… also played catcher and first baseman… also was a part of the Beta Club.

Tyler Shelton

5-10; 180; S

Douglasville, Ga./Chapel Hill HS

Earned second team All-State honors in his junior year… was a two-time All-Region selection… All-County honoree… compiled over 200 career tackles to go along with three sacks, three interceptions, four forced fumbles and six fumble recoveries… Top 25 percent for GPA in Graduating Class… also was a National Honor Society Inductee.

Colby Key

6-2; 270; OL

West Columbia, S.C./Airport HS

Key was a four-year letter winner and team captain for Airport HS… He was an East-West All-Star Nominee… he was a team captain and an Eagle Award Recipient… he was also a three-year starter for the baseball program where the team was 2018 AAAA State Runner-Up… he was a part of the Beta Club and a B-27 Member Teacher Cadet… as a part of the teacher cadet program they went to read to elementary students.

Devan Diggins

5-11; 155; WR

Blue Ridge, S.C./Blue Ridge HS

Earned defensive player of the week honors in the Greer Citizen… played wide receiver and free safety at Blue Ridge HS… recorded 10 tackles in a single game at free safety… also spent time as a Baseball pitcher and right fielder… was a qualifier for National Honor Society… participated in the drama program off the field during his time at Blue Ridge.

Ian Rome

5-9; 160; DB

Columbus, Ga./Columbus HS

Played WR and CB during his time at Columbus HS… was a 2x all Bi City award winner… 2x All-Region… named 2018 specialist of the year… True 19 Southwest Top 100 Player… during the 2018 season compiled 950 all-purpose yards, two receiving touchdowns, three defensive and special team touchdowns and seven pass deflections.

Paul Johnson

6-0; 180; RB

Anderson, S.C./Westside HS

Earned First Team All-Area 2x while at Westside HS and All-Region honoree three years… compiled 3,000 rushing yards during his high school career… set a single game touchdown mark as he had five in one game during his time at Westside… was a part of the Beta Club… also a National Honor Society Nominee… Twin brother Tim also committed to PC…

Tim Johnson

5-9; 177; DB

Anderson, S.C./Westside HS

2x region champion in football as a defensive back at Westside HS… compiled 36 tackles, 10 pass deflections and a pair of interceptions during his senior year… also was a three-time region champion in basketball… participated in AVID outside of athletics… Twin brother Paul also committed to PC.

Hunter Mills

5-11; 215; FB

Charleston, S.C./Hanahan HS

Was a region champion in 2018 at Hanahan HS… was a three-year starter and two year team captain for the football team… earned defensive MVP and Leadership Award… received the Irim Aiken Award which goes to the hardest worker in the football program… named top 10 linebacker in the lower country… compiled over 200 tackles, four pass breakups, four sacks, eight tackles for loss, five fumble recoveries and four special teams blocks… offensively he also recorded 10 career touchdowns… also ran track and competed in wrestling…

Bryson Howell

6-1; 170; DB

Mount Holly, N.C./Mountain Island Charter HS

Howell was a four-year letter winner at Mountain Island Charter HS… he earned 2015 Rookie of the Year Honors… 3x All-Conference honoree… 2x All-Area Recipient… Compiled 365 tackles, seven Interceptions, 3 sacks, five forced fumbles and 33 career pass deflections during his high school career… was a member of the National Honor Society… four-time All-Academic Team honors… 2018 Academic MVP.

Tyler Huff

6-1; 200; QB

Orange Park, Fla./Ridgeview HS

Became Ridgeview High’s all-time passing leader in both yards and touchdowns… first team all-county… Florida vs Georgia All-Star Game… North Florida All-Star Game… compiled 5,000 passing yards and 62 passing touchdowns.

Jordyn Wall

5-10; 163; WR

Rockingham, N.C./Richmond Senior HS

Received All-Conference Honors at Richmond Senior HS… also was a part of a conference championship… compiled 29 catches for 347 yards and a pair of touchdowns… earned highest GPA on the entire football team… member of the Beta Club… was a member of the National Honor Society… participated in FBLA… biggest influence on his life is his cousin Los Angles Chargers OLB Melvin Ingram…

Samuel Kelley

Greer, S.C./Woodruff HS

Three-year letter winner at Woodruff HS… spent time as both a tight end and running back while at Woodruff HS… was a part of the Beta Club… member of National Art Honor Society…

Randall Brown

5-9; 198; RB

Lugoff, S.C./Lugoff-Elgin HS

Brown was a two-time 5A all-region at Lugoff-Elgin HS… was named the team’s offensive MVP… a four-year letter winner in football as well as three years in track… he was a participant in the Metro Senior Bowl… racked up 1,000 all-purpose yards and seven touchdowns in his senior year… was a member of the National Honor Society… also graduated with honors… participated in L.E.A.P.S. (Lugoff Elgin Athletes Providing Services) which including reading to elementary school children.

Oka Emmanwori

5-10; 183; DB

Columbia, S.C./Irmo HS

Emmanwori was a two-time all-region and a three-year letter winner at Irmo HS… also earned all-academic three times… played high school football with fellow commitment Julius Land.

Marcus Quinn

5-11; 195; LB

Landrum, S.C./Landrum HS

Earned two playoff appearances at Landrum HS… 2017-18 and 2018-19 All Region Honors… All-Area Honors 2018-19 Honors… 2018 Spartanburg Herald Journal Defensive Player of the Year… during his senior season he had 114 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, two touchdowns… was a part of the Beta Club.

Nathan Lovette

6-3; 230; TE

Fort Mill, S.C./Nation Ford HS

Was a three-year letter winner at Nation Ford HS… was a part of the Beta Club… also played two years of basketball.

Haden Graham

6-2; 300; DL

Marion, S.C./Latta HS

Was defensive MVP and Latta HS Defensive Lineman Award winner… he played defensive tackle as well as right guard… compiled 67 tackles, a fumble recovery and scored a touchdown… was a member of the National Honor Society.

Ryan Fleming

5-8; 175; WR

Columbia, S.C./Ben Lippen HS

Was a 2016 SCISA State Champion at Ben Lippen HS… Mr. Richland County Player of the Year Finalist… SCISA All-State RB winner… Played in the SCISA North/South All Star Game… played in the Columbia Metro Senior Bowl… spent time as a wide receiver, running back, defensive back, kick and punt returner… compiled over 90 catches and 80 carries for more than 2,000 yards on offense while scoring 26 touchdowns… on the defensive side of the ball he racked up 33 tackles, two interceptions, and also had a punt return touchdown during his senior year.

Trey Davis

Murrells Inlet, S.C./Waccamaw HS

Was a two-time all-region award winner… made the all-zone team in 2018… was a member of the all blitz team in 2018… was a North/South All-Star 2018.

Joseph Whiteaker

6-3; 265; OL

Bluffton, S.C./May River HS

Made it to the third round of the playoffs and were region 7-AAA Champions at May River HS in 2018… was a 2016 All Region recipient… 2017 Iron Shark Football Award winner… 2018 All-Region Football player… 2018 All-Lowcountry Second Team Starter in 2018 Blitz Border Bowl… compiled 25 pancakes and knockdowns in his senior season… obtained the rank of Eagle Scout in 2016… was a part of the Boy Scouts of America… member of National Honor Society… also was a member of the Beta Club.
