FARMVILLE, Va. –The Presbyterian College baseball team used the power of three home run balls in game two to take a 13-11 win and a split of Friday’s doubleheader with Longwood at Buddy Bolding Stadium. The Lancers won game one by the count of 6-5.

Zacchaeus Rasberry had four hits and five RBIs for the Blue Hose in the twinbill, including a home run and three stolen bases.

Johnny Cook added three hits as did Jeremiah Boyd, while Hunter Grover and Jimmy Marcelli each had two hits apiece in the doubleheader.

The Blue Hose hit five home runs in Friday’s doubleheader as Garrett Jones, Boyd, Jonathan White, Marcelli and Rasberry each hit a long ball for PC.

Rasberry tied the team lead with his sixth home run of the season, while Marcelli picked up his fourth long ball.

The split left PC with a record of 25-26, 13-10 in the Big South, and Longwood is 11-37 and 5-18.

John Gregory (3-3) was the winning pitcher for the Lancers in game one, while Johnny Cook took the loss. Austin Paradis was the winner for PC in game two, and Reagan Fowler got his first save. Josh Longabaugh (2-3) was on the short end for Longwood.

In the two games, Longwood’s Cullan Wadsworth collected five hits in nine at-bats, driving in five.

The series finale between the Blue Hose and Lancers is slated for 9 a.m. tomorrow.
