The process of determining the boys’ and girls’ soccer teams that will represent Laurens District High School next spring will begin in December.
Conditioning starts Tuesday, December 3, at 3:45 p.m. on the Football Field. It will end every day at 5 p.m. No workouts will be conducted on Fridays. Conditioning is not mandatory.
Tryouts are Feb. 3-5, 3:45-5 p.m., on the soccer field.
The teams will be posted on the door of Room Y112 on Feb. 6.
Practice for the varsity teams begins on Feb. 6.
Citing a potential for storms, the junior varsity football games scheduled for Thursday in Laurens and Clinton have been canceled.
The Laurens JV team was scheduled to host Easley, and Clinton was to be at home against Woodruff.
The Hickory Tavern at Gray Court-Owings middle-school game, rained out on Wednesday, is now scheduled for Monday, Nov. 4, at 5 p.m.
On Monday, Laurens Middle School defeated Sanders, 54-6, piling up a 42-0 advantage at halftime.
K.D. Mosley led the Tigers with two rushing touchdowns, a third touchdown on a 59-yard punt return and a fumble recovery. Other spectacular scores included a 32-yard run by Travija Austin and a 57-yarder by Hugo Avila. Hunter Nabors threw two touchdown passes, 57 yards to Austin and 18 to Braylen Jones, and caught one from Noah Mosley.
Jamari Cullen scored for Sanders on a 63-yard run late in the game.
