Absentee voting now open for upcoming municipal elections

 

The Laurens County Election Commission has released the names of candidate filing for local non-partisan elections, as of Friday.

The filing deadline is Wednesday, Aug. 15, at noon.

The affected offices are for S.C. School Districts 55 and 56 and the Watershed Conservation Districts of Rabon Creek, Beaverdam-Warrior Creek and Duncan Creek.

In Laurens County School District 55, the candidates who have filed are: David Underwood and Susan Calhoun-Ware, Seat 6; Bessie Eaddy Williams, Jim Moore and Cathy Little, Seat 2; and Mark Earle, Seat 4.

In Laurens County School District 56, the candidates who have filed are: Tammy Stewart, Seat 5; and Keith Richardson, Seat 7.

In Watershed Conservation District, Rabon Creek (Greenville/Laurens), the candidates who have filed are Bill Meder, Casey Robinson and David Tillman.

In Watershed Conservation District Beverdam-Warrior Creek, the candidates who have filed are William Lewis Croxton and Maxcy Hunter Sr.

In Watershed Conservation District, Duncan Creek, the only filed candidate to date is Harold W. McClintock Jr.
