With his first point of the night Dillard reached his 1,000th career point, becoming the fourth player in PC’s Division I history to reach that mark. He now has 1,016.

While both teams connected on eight three-pointers underneath, Nicholls State held the 30-12 advantage in the paint to help secure the 12-point win. The Colonels were more consistent in the field, shooting 45.5% in the first half and 48.0 in the second to finish with 46.6. PC shot 33.3% in the first half and 30.8 in the second to end with 33.3. PC hit 20-of-21 free throws, compared to 14-of-17 for NSU. The Blue Hose held the 35-34 edge in rebounds, with their bench points coming out on top, 34-18.

Reggie Dillard led the team in scoring with 17, with Armel TeTe on top on the boards with six. Davon Bell recorded 13 points, 11 of them coming from the charity stripe. Roddy Peters led Nicholls State with 24 points, with Tevon Saddler leading in rebounds with nine.
How It Happened
Nicholls State opened the game on a hot streak, building a 21-9 lead with 11:47 left in the half. Trailing by 15, 28-13, 8:09 on the clock, PC went on a 16-6 run, which included three-pointers from Ruben Arroyo, Reggie Dillard, Ethan Kay, and JC Younger, to cut the margin to five at 34-29, with 3:48 to go. Nicholls State went back up by 11 quickly, but PC fought back again, ending the half on an 8-2 run to head to the locker room trailing by just five, 42-37.
The Colonels began the second the same as the first, using a 12-4 run to jump out to a 13-point, 54-41 lead with 15:27 left. PC clawed its way back again, cutting the lead to seven, 62-55, off a 9-2 run. Nicholls State would not let the Blue Hose get any closer, outscoring PC 9-2 in the final three minutes to make it a 15-point game. Dillard hit a three-pointer with just a few ticks left on the clock to give Nicholls State the 12-point, 76-64 win.
With 17 points Reggie Dillard became the fourth player in PC's Division I history to reach the 1,000 career-point mark. He now has 1,016.

PC's 30 three-point field goal attempts tied for fourth in the record book.
Davon Bell's career-high 11 free throws tied for fifth in the PC record book. His 12 free throw attempts was a career-best as well.- Romeo Crouch pulled down a career-high five rebounds.
Ethan Kay's eight points, and three-for-nine field goal attempts, were a career-high.
Armel TeTe recorded a career-high eight points.
