Quarterback Thomas Lowry rushed for four touchdowns and passed for another as Laurens Academy broke into the win column on Thursday night with a 36-0 victory over W.W. King Academy at Kirk Field.

Lowry gave the Crusaders an 8-0 halftime edge on a 35-yard run and Diamonte Grant’s two-point conversion. The first four touchdowns were on the ground, and Lowery completed the rout with a scoring toss to Charlton McCall. He also intercepted a pass on defense.

Laurens Academy, at home again next week against Calhoun Academy, is 1-3. King is 0-4.
