Joey Meadors is adding new responsibilities at the City of Clinton.
While maintaining his position as Administrative Services Director, Meadors will direct the Public Works Department, replacing Dale Satterfield, who resigned to take similar duties with Laurens County government.
Clinton city manager Bill Ed Cannon announced the move, saying it was best at this time for the city to promote within and noting that he, a civil engineer, can assist Meadors with the engineering aspects of the job.
As constituted in the City of Clinton, Administrative Services is responsible for utility billing, municipal court, procurement, vehicle maintenance and warehousing.
Public Works is responsible for electricity distribution, water and sewer, parks and recreation, streets and sanitation, geographic information services/information technology (GIS/IT) and water treatment.
Meadors is a lifelong Clinton resident and Clemson graduate
