Sisters Mary Catherine and Chandler Dailey do not team up often. No. 1 doubles is only contested when a girls’ tennis match is on the line in Region 3-3A, and Clinton went 10-0 in region play.

What defeated Camden (20-3) and enabled the Red Devils to advance into Monday’s Upper State finals in Inman was the Daileys returning to the court and defeating Emani Wyatt, whom M.C. had already defeated at No. 1 singles, and Avery Younghans, who had bested Chandler at No. 2.

After a long day of close matches, the team of Dailey & Dailey won 6-4, 6-3, Clinton (16-2) edged the Bulldogs, 4-3, and Chapman stands between Clinton and another trip to the state finals. The road match is at 5 p.m.
