The Laurens Academy varsity baseball team improved their record on Monday night with an 11-6 victory over Crescent High School.
Ryland Culbertson improved to 3-0, going six innings, giving up four runs on four hits, two walks, two hit batsmen, and eight strikeouts. J.E. Satterfield closed out the game pitching the 7th, giving up two runs on two hits and one strikeout.
The offense was lead by a host of Crusaders. Taylor Sims was 2-3 with a homerun and a double with two runs scored. Tyler Mitchell was 3-4 with a double, two RBI, and three runs scored. Brandon Martin was 3-4 with two doubles and two runs scored. Satterfield was 2-4 with a bases loaded double and 3RBI. Joshua Caviness was 2-4 with a double. Sam Giddens, Griffin Shell, and Christian Greene all added singles.
Laurens Academy improved to 4-2 and will travel to Newberry Academy on Tuesday, March 23 at 5:00 pm.
