Gunfire rang out in the late night hours on Tuesday night leaving a car full of bullet holes and many questions for Laurens City Police, according to Chief Robin Morse.

Morse indicated on Wednesday that an investigation has been launched into an incident on Forest Drive in Laurens that reportedly involved four individuals. Reports indicate that an individual was having an argument with someone over the phone and that argument escalated into the two individuals coming in contact with one another in the front yard of a home on Forest Drive.

According to Morse, shots were fired into a vehicle that was occupied by three people but no one was injured. As of late Wednesday afternoon, Morse said that officers were still investigating what happened, why it happened and who was involved.
