ALDI has announced a product expansion in Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson that means an emphasis on “fresh, organic and easy-to-prepare options” at locations including the one in Laurens at 401 Exchange Road.
According to a company release, 20 percent of the products offered in every ALDI store will be new and the fresh-food category in increasing by 40 percent.
New ALDI private-label products include kombucha, veggie noodles, organic meats, kale and quinoa crunch burgers, gluten-free bagels and more.
The product expansion is the next stage of the company’s accelerated growth plan, building on its more than $5 billion investment to remodel and expand its store count to 2,500 by the end of 2022. The current number is over 1,800. ALDI is more than halfway through its remodel investment. The new store layout featuers additional refrigeration space to accommodate more fresh, healthy and convenient products.
In Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson, ALDI is making a $16 million investment to remodel stores to make room for the new products.

ALDI recently has received more than 300 product awards for its wines, cheeses and exclusive product lines. Recognized products include Little Journey premium baby essentials; SimplyNature products, which include many organic options and are free from more than 125 ingredients; liveGfree, a gluten-free brand that features pasta, snacks and baking mixes; Never Any! meats with no antibiotics, added hormones or animal byproducts; and Elevation bars and protein powders. Both the liveGfree and Never Any! lines recently earned the Good Housekeeping Seal, a prestigious symbol of quality assurance and one of America’s most trusted emblems.
