Chief Chrissie Cofield, chief of the Laurens City Police Department, was recently the Lunch & Learn guest speaker at Laurens Middle School.

Eighth-grade students in attendance enjoyed learning about her career path, her responsibilities as chief and the skills necessary to work in law enforcement. Chief Cofield also shared with students that she enjoyed her career and helping others in our community.

When given the opportunity to ask questions, most of the students' inquiries were about her experiences on the job and the requirements to apply for a job as a police officer.
