For the first time, the South Carolina Economic Development Association Institute is paying a visit to Clinton.
The institute meets four times at various locations around the state to encourage and discuss economic development. The Clinton visit, on Thursday and Friday, is being held in conjunction with the Rhythm on the Rails festival in town on Friday and Saturday.
Seminars, events and meetings for the institute will be conducted at the Presbyterian College School of Pharmacy on North Broad Street in uptown Clinton.
According to Marvin Moss, Clinton’s Economic Development Director, the city is expecting about 60 visitors from across the state. The guests will tour Clinton on Thursday afternoon.
A reception will be hosted on Thursday night by the City of Clinton and the Laurens County Development Corporation.
