In the month of January, each District 55 elementary school will host three days of registration for early-childhood school: Tuesday, January 14, and Wednesday, January 15, 2020, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and January 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and in the evening, 4 to 6 p.m.
Laurens County School District 55 encourages parents preparing to send children to early childhood school for the 2020-2021 school year to start gathering documents to register your child at the appropriate zoned school. To find out which school your child is zoned for, go to www.laurens55.org.
In order to register your child, you must have:
Child’s Birth Certificate from the Health Department (not the hospital-issued certificate).
Child’s Immunization Record.
Child’s Medicaid Card, if eligible.
Who should register?
Students who will be attending half-day kindergarten for 3-year-olds (Child must be 3 on or before September 1, 2020).
Students who will be attending whole-day or half-day kindergarten for 4-year-olds (Child must be 4 on or before September 1, 2020).
Students who will be attending whole-day kindergarten for 5-year-olds (child must be 5 on or before September 1, 2020).
Students currently enrolled in District 55 classes for 3-, 4-, and 5-year-olds do not need to register.
