The scenery just got better on Musgrove, the one-way street parallel to North Broad and home to some of the town’s more popular shops and restaurants.
On Tuesday evening at Jitter’s Cafe, the Clinton Mural Celebration commemorated the mural that now dominates the west side of Musgrove Street. A dessert social, featuring exhibits of art by local artists and honoring the mural artists, gave civic leaders a chance to experience the latest attempt to beautify the city and enhance its green space.
Tiny J.A. Orr Park, named for the kindly man who once ran a Western Auto store on Musgrove, is a gathering place at the eastern edge of an alley that runs between Broad and Musgrove. The gatherers will have a wee bit more incentive to … gather.
The celebration was sponsored by Sunshine City, Clinton Canopy, Clinton Rotary Club, Laurens Electric Cooperative, Jitter’s, Main Street Bake Shoppe, The Vestibule and Main Street Clinton.
