One man has been arrested and one man is wanted after a shooting incident in Clinton on Wednesday.
The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on Wednesday, May 2 on Stomp Springs Circle in Clinton in reference to someone shooting in front of a residence. During the investigation, deputies were able to determine that Zhacayo Bailey and Sylvester Ferguson III were responsible for shooting at or near this residence.
Bailey was arrested a short time later in Laurens without incident. He was transported to the Johnson Detention Center where he was booked on two counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and breach of peace-aggravated in nature.
Sylvester Ferguson III was not located and is now wanted in connection with this incident. Ferguson is wanted for two counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, possession of a weapon by a person convicted of a violent felony and breach of peace-aggravated in nature.
If anyone knows the whereabouts of Sylvester Ferguson III, they are asked to contact the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office at 864-984-4967 and they can also report tips anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 864-68-CRIME. Ferguson is considered armed and dangerous.
