C. Ted Brissey, 98, widower of Mary Owens Brissey, of Indian Mound Road, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018, at his home.
Born in Laurens County, he was a son of the late Simuel Harley and Laura Mabry Brissey. He was a member of Mt. Gallagher Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and had served as Music Director and Sunday School Teacher. He was retired from Riegel Textile Co. and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, World War II.
Surviving are two daughters, Patsy Jackson (Don) of Ware Shoals and Martha Anderson of Westminster; five grandchildren, Patrick (Shanon) Jackson, Brooks (Pamela) Jackson, Neely (Ryan) Abernathy, Billy (Christie) Anderson, and Lee (Marty) Wallen; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 22, at Mt. Gallagher Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. Marcus Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Mt.
