Senior Jordan Mitchell, returning from an injury-riddled season last year that cost him all but two games, intercepted a pass, had two big punt returns and ran the ball 14 times for 156 yards and two touchdowns as Laurens Academy defeated St. John's Academy 22-13 in Moncks Corner on Friday night.

It was obvious that the season opener is only 10 days away as the level of intensity on the sideline for the Laurens Raiders was at a fever pitch on Tuesday night in their game-simulated scrimmage with the Gaffney Indians at K.C. Hanna Stadium.
