The S.C. Department of Natural Resources is holding a Fishing Rodeo on Saturday, June 8, at the Lake Rabon Fishing Pier from 8 to 11 a.m.

The rodeo is open to young fishermen (and women) 15 years of age and younger, each of whom must bring his or her own bait and gear.

The first 100 kids receive a free fishing rod.

The angler catching the first tagged fish will receive a lifetime license, valued at $400. Participants must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, but no adult fishing is allowed.
