The Laurens District High School Athletics Department has announced its youth sports camps for this summer.
LDHS coaches and varsity athletes take part in a youth sports camp full of fun and games. At each camp, the emphasis will be on fundamentals, skill development and team strategies. Skill groups will be formed to accommodate both the beginner and more advanced player at each camp.
LDHS will host all camps at the various athletic facilities from June through August. These camps are open to any entrants, limited only by age and grade level. The camper's grade level is determined by his or her grade in the 2019-2020 school year.
LDHS Athletic Director Tommy Spires said, “We’re hoping to have a successful turnout for each camp this year. Sending your child to camp helps promote fitness and supports the individual athletic programs at the middle and high school. We hope we can provide an environment for children to explore and develop teamwork, confidence and the habit of a healthy lifestyle.”
