Clinton High School opens its football season at Laurens on Aug. 30 as the Red Devils take on the Raiders at K.C. Hanna Stadium in annual game between the county’s two public high schools.

New head coach Corey Fountain has announced a schedule identical to that played by Clinton in 2018, with only the home and away games reversed.

The Red Devils’ first game in newly upgraded Wilder Stadium will be played on Sept. 6 against Broome. The remainder of the non-region schedule consists of a home game against Powdersville on Sept. 13, a visit to Wren on Sept. 20 and a home game against Pendleton on Sept. 27.

Clinton begins its Region 3-3A schedule on Oct. 4 at home against Union County, followed by a visit to Mid-Carolina on Oct. 11, a home game with Newberry on Oct. 18 and visits to Emerald on Oct. 25 and Woodruff on Nov. 1.

All games will be played on Friday nights at 7:30.
