Laurens Academy won twin titles in more ways than one.

In the SCISA Region 1-A basketball tournament, played in Newberry and Greenwood, both the LA boys’ and girls’ teams won championships.

The Most Valuable Players were twins, too. Noah Moore was MVP of the boys’ tournament and twin sister Ruthie was girls’ MVP.

The boys defeated Richard Winn Academy 59-56 in the finals, and the girls defeated Newberry Academy 48-34 on Saturday.
