Webb impressed with what he’s seen in the Red Devil spring

Andrew Webb grew up a Red Devil and a Blue Hose, roots passionately for the Gamecocks, and now he coaches the Tigers.

The Saluda Tigers.

Webb, who spent 14 years coaching football at Clinton High and four as head coach, is now the offensive coordinator at Saluda High School. Under head coach Stewart Young, the Tigers advanced to the third round of the Class 2A playoffs, losing 34-21 to Southside Christian.

Brent Wilder, whom Webb succeeds on the Saluda staff, took the head coaching position at Swansea in January.

Over the past four seasons, Saluda has compiled a record of 74-12, twice falling to Abbeville in the playoffs.
